Diversity & Inclusion

Our commitment to diversity and inclusion

Communisis is committed to diversity and inclusion for all colleagues. We believe no person or group of people should be treated less favourably than any other person or group due to a characteristic which is unrelated to their ability to do their job effectively.

We have maintained this commitment for many years and we were reaccredited with Gold status by the “Commited2Equality” organisation in November 2017.

To ensure our commitment is beyond reproach we arrange audits annually, mandatory training and have a statement and policy available on our intranet and in print format at all sites.

In line with legislation, we publish our Gender Pay Gap Report here

Communisis Group Equality Statement

Communisis is firmly committed to achieving and promoting equal opportunities through the implementation and practice of policies which ensure that individuals receive treatment that is fair and consistent with their skills, abilities and potential.

In the provision of services to customers and clients, in relationships with suppliers and in the recruitment, employment and development of all staff, Communisis will seek to ensure equality of opportunity and treatment for all.

No person or group of people employed by Communisis will be treated less favourably on the grounds of (or the assumption or perception of) their:

  • Age
  • Disability
  • Race, ethnic or national origin
  • Gender
  • Religion or philosophical belief
  • Sexual orientation
  • Gender reassignment
  • Pregnancy and maternity
  • Marital and civil partnership
  • Or any other personal characteristic unrelated to their ability to do their job effectively

Communisis recognises its obligations under all relevant legislation applicable to our people in various countries in the world, and is committed to fully complying with those obligations.

All employees have an important part to play in achieving this equality goal, since the way in which each of us behaves towards colleagues, clients, customers, and suppliers determines whether the environment at Communisis is one in which all individuals have the opportunity to thrive.

The Board of Directors has overall responsibility for ensuring that the company complies with the requirements of all associated equality policies. All employees, customers, clients and suppliers will be made aware of the provisions of these policies and are required to ensure that these policies are carried out in their entirety. Clients, customers, contractors and suppliers will also be required to co-operate with the company in ensuring policy commitments are adhered to.

To be an equal opportunity employer, the equality culture must permeate through all the actions and decisions made by Communisis and through all other policies and procedures.

These policies are detailed in separate documents and are available upon request. This statement of equality will be reviewed and revised when appropriate to take account of changes in circumstance or in legal requirements.
