Tell us about your career and time with Communisis

I started working at Communisis in January 2015 and joined one of their FMCG accounts as the Senior Client Services Manager, covering maternity leave.  It was a challenging role as there was lots of changes happening internally, with team members leaving to go traveling and changing roles and moving off the account, so when I joined I had to rebuild the team.  In addition to that the client had lots of structural changes happening as they moved their central team from Geneva to Manchester. However, with the challenges came great opportunities to build up a new team in London and Manchester. I worked with the client to support the client through their changes and this definitely strengthened our position.

When the maternity cover came to an end I moved over to another account for a well-known drinks brand in 2016.  After a while I was promoted to Account Director on the account and got more involved in the strategic side of the account development. This was a completely different type of account to the previous one I worked on as the team I managed was spread across Europe, each with different needs and skills. The largest challenge was building up relationships the team and the clients due to the geographical locations. We solved by having weekly catch up calls with the individual team members and regular visits to the clients, supported by monthly communications and client engagement programmes. The account has been through a number of changes and we have grown our service lines and evolved to support the clients both in local markets and the central operational team.

What first attracted you to join Communisis?

The client portfolio and the fact that communisis had maintained some of it larger clients for many years. Communisis had strong presence in Europe and had continuously expanded is geographical spread and services to adapt to its clients changing landscape and offering solutions that meet their challenges.

What would you say your proudest moment at Communisis has been so far?

I have had many proud moments as I thoroughly enjoy working with my team and the clients, but recently we won a POPAI award for a unit we developed with our supplier and the client and I was very proud of that.

In your eyes, what makes Communisis a great place to work?

The people are definitely what make Communisis a great place to work. There is a huge knowledge base that is shared and people are encouraged to put forward ideas and get involved in important central projects. I have fantastic support from my line manager and team and there is a real team spirit that makes a difference to the working environment.  The clients are great and see us as a trusted partner, so value our feedback and come to us seeking proposals to overcome their challenges. It is never dull and with a drive for continuous improvement you never get bored.

I love working at Communisis and I’m excited by the future of our ever growing business and the challenges our clients face.
